For generations, the Hoover family has been involved in the various trades of farming; including growing green beans,milking cows,and currently making a fair amount of hay.

Hougar Farms Retail was created to bring something special to the industry: a BETTER overall experience, BETTER products, and BETTER  customer service with the feel of a local, family-owned business. In 2017, the farm expanded by acquiring an agricultural supply store in Gilbertsville, becoming a local provider of feed, seed, shavings, straw, hay, pet supplies and much more. Guided by authenticity, simplicity, drive, mindfulness, and appreciation, Hougar Farms Retail is committed to serving customers with humility and respect.
